Weebot presents the range of Elwing electric skateboards
Since the year 2020, Elwing has been offering two new models of modular electric skateboards in multiple ways that we have compared on our blog . This new generation of board with the Nimbus electric skate and the Halokee longboard is configurable to suit everyone's use as closely as possible.
The origin of the electric skateboard brand Elwing
Founded in 2015 after crowdfunding on the Indiegogo platform , the French start-up Elwing Tech is one of the pioneers of electric skateboard made in France . The Bordeaux -based company Elwing is renowned for its mobility solutions combining robustness, reliability and affordability.
Two electric skateboards adaptable to your desires
If Elwing Skate only offers two models with a cruiser and a longboard , there are many possibilities to configure your electric skateboard according to your desires . Since 2020, Elwing offers with the 2.0 Powerkit generation the opportunity to completely personalize your machine according to your tastes.
For each model, the user can choose from 4 combinations of motors and batteries. While the Powerkit regulatory version with its single 500W brushless motor is limited to a maximum speed of 25 km/h as required by law, there is also the Powerkit Sport version. This allows you to overcome this limit (to drive on private land for example) and to reach 32 km/h or even 38 km/h with the double brushless motor combining 1000W of power.
The two models of Elwing Powerkit electric skateboards benefit from a deck made of Canadian maple wood (7 layers) of the most beautiful effect offering a good resistance as well as a better comfort on the road.
The Elwing Nimbus comes in the form of a compact and versatile cruiser . Depending on the configurations chosen, it can weigh between 6 and 7.6 kg in its sportiest version. For its part, the Elwing Halokee is a 95 cm long longboard cut more for long walks by weighing only 300 additional grams.
